PULPIT took Patient and Public Involvement beyond the university and into Rock in Rio Lisboa, engaging festival visitors with the role patients and the public can play in healthcare education.
PULPIT took part in Rock in Rio Lisboa on 21 and 28 June 2026, bringing the project beyond the academic setting and into one of Portugal’s largest public events.
Through interactive activities, quizzes and conversations, visitors had the opportunity to discover PULPIT and explore how patients and members of the public can contribute to healthcare research and education.
The initiative created an informal space for dialogue about Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) and the value of bringing lived experience into the education of future healthcare professionals.
Participating in Rock in Rio also reflected PULPIT’s commitment to engaging with the wider community and making its work accessible beyond universities and healthcare settings.
