PULPIT Programme Successfully Implemented Across Four Universities

PULPIT Team

The PULPIT programme has been successfully implemented at four European universities, bringing healthcare students, Experts by Experience and facilitators together to explore meaningful Patient and Public Involvement in Interprofessional Education.

A major milestone for PULPIT: the project’s educational programme has now been successfully implemented across four universities:

  1. - University of Coimbra, Portugal

  2. - Maastricht University, the Netherlands

  3. - University of Maribor, Slovenia

  4. - University of Minho, Portugal

The pilots brought together healthcare students, Experts by Experience (EBEs) and facilitators to explore Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) within Interprofessional Education (IPE).

Each pilot followed the PULPIT learning pathway, combining preparatory e-learning, collaborative discussions, meaningful encounters with Experts by Experience, reflection and shared group discussions.

Together, the four pilots represent an important step in moving PULPIT from research and resource development into educational practice, creating opportunities for students to learn directly with people whose knowledge comes from lived experience.
